What does it take to find the courage to jump?
A single step.
An idea.
A dream.
A plan.
Preparation.
Knowhow.
A distaste of mediocrity.
Passion.
Love.
Desire.
It is the same thing that drives each and everyone of us toward serving something bigger than ourselves.
Many times have I climbed up the side of mountain only to find myself standing on a precipice, and with a deep breath, desiring to step forward into the abyss, not in destruction, but in the extreme presence of the moment. Unable to be anywhere but so wholly and completely in the world. Desiring to blend every atom of my existence into the undeniable connection to the rock underfoot to the furthest star and everything in between.
But how do we jump in world that is usurped by conventions and labels? Of belief systems that value control over creativity. Of hierarchies that value servants over service. How can you free yourself from the bindings that you put on yourself of your own free will?
You simply have to jump.
